So it’s funny - I am just shy of 27 weeks into this pregnancy and no one has randomly come up and touched my belly.  Not one person.  Maybe one co-worker but I thought it was so cute that she did that because she was excited and she looked so happy.  Touching pregnant belly’s is like this taboo thing now.  “Don’t touch the woman’s belly, she does NOT want your grubby hands all over her!”

Well, what do you know.  It's June!

I love love love it when it's warm outside.  My husband calls them the Dog Days of Summer.  And though we aren't into the full blown, "it's going to be 100 today folks" time of year, I am still enjoying the warmth and sunshine.  Windows are open, the cats strew themselves lazily on the hardwood floors, and we stir up our homemade margaritas in the blender on a weekly basis.

The myth of losing your independence.

My husband got sick the way people usually do.  Suddenly, and fast while driving home from work only to arrive at the house, announce his illness and fall into bed for the next 5 days.  He struggled and fought and tried to get out of bed even though he was obviously too sick to move. But he tried anyway thinking he didn't have time to be sick and there were too many things to do. So I did the most loving thing I knew to do. I pushed him back on to the bed and reminded him that he was sick.  And I of course, would handle everything.

If you think you are drinking too much coffee, read this.

Coffee is my favorite way to start the day.  Like, really.  MY FAVORITE.  We have this awesome coffee maker with a little timer so that when we wake up in the morning we can smell it brewing.  I love going to bed and knowing that the pot will be ready when I wake up in the morning.  I love when my husband brings me a cup and I love the ritual of pouring myself a cup and drinking it in the morning, especially the winter when I am extra freezing.
